Hello friends, and welcome to this month’s Joyinmovement newsletter,
Three fun tidbits for you this month!
Do you have neck tension and pain? That’s almost a silly question because quite frankly, I can’t think of anyone I know who doesn’t have neck tension. Dr. Cobb, founder of Z-Health Performance, has this to say: “So many of us, whether for our jobs or for recreation, end up with a lot of time in front of a computer monitor clickety clacking away. However, it doesn’t have to take the huge toll on us that it does.”
In this Z-Health blog, you’ll learn how to reduce the very common neck tension and neck pain that often comes from our modern lifestyles. Give this quick and straightforward Z-health drill a chance!
You know I love to walk! I walk my talk and talk my walk and log miles and miles doing so. I’ve long held the belief that walking is the best way to get to know a place, whether it’s your home town or a city half way around the world. Here’s a great TED talk from urban planner Jeff Speck on what makes for a walkable city.
Along with my enthusiasm for health and fitness and working with people to be the best and healthiest version of themselves, I find great joy in traveling. For the past three years I’ve been writing about travel and this past week enjoyed a great honor: I was quoted in the New York Times! If you haven’t already caught the article, here it is.
As summer approaches I have a few questions for you, and some gentle reminders as well.
Who’s in control of your health? You are!
Who’s in control of whether or not you eat well? You are!
Who’s in control of whether or not you get enough sleep and wake feeling rested and ready for your day? You are!
If any aspect of your health and wellness practices need some tuning up, make that your summertime priority.
And as always, find Joyinmovement and share that joy with others.
Until next month,
shelli
